Initial Challenges:

Materials used and why:

Reception – The flooring is a wood-tone laminate, and a subtle gray area rug helps define the seating area. To the right, a long bench built against the window wall offers additional seating. The glass walls on the left side separate the reception area from what appears to be a meeting room, where bright orange chairs are visible, giving the whole space a cohesive modern design.

Boardrooms – The flooring has a patterned carpet with geometric shapes, adding visual interest without overwhelming the space. On the left wall, there is a large flat-screen TV, ideal for presentations, video conferencing, or sharing content during meetings. The right side of the image reveals sliding glass doors that open to an adjacent room

Canteen – The combination of light and dark materials, such as the wood-toned accents on the cabinetry and the soft gray countertops, strikes a balance between warmth and professionalism. The backsplash features neutral-toned tiles, and there is ample countertop space for meal preparation or casual gatherings.

Design/Architectural Considerations:

Reception -Stylish, modern reception or lounge area, designed to be both inviting and comfortable. The space is filled with natural light from the large windows, offering a view of the surrounding buildings. A large, white sofa dominates the left side of the room, providing ample seating, while two vibrant orange armchairs with small wooden side tables add warmth and color..

Boardrooms – a sleek, modern boardroom designed for high-level meetings. The room features a large, polished wooden conference table surrounded by black ergonomic office chairs, giving the space a professional yet warm ambiance. The design of the table adds a natural, organic feel to the otherwise modern setting. Above the table, stylish pendant lights hang from a wooden beam ceiling, providing both function and a sense of sophistication.

Canteen – The kitchen area in the background includes essential appliances like microwaves and kettles, neatly integrated into the design. Overhead, stylish pendant lights with exposed bulbs provide soft lighting, enhancing the cozy yet functional ambiance of the space.

Open Plan Workscape – A light, clear, open-plan working space that’s distraction-free for focus and productivity. The space also aligns with Riscura’s marketing and branding strategy. Company slogans adorn the walls as a constant reminder of the team’s shared goals and values. It’s like working in a space that perpetually encourages motivation and alignment with the company’s vision.
